Taste Test Tuesdays Ep:19 – Koya, Soho
Welcome to Taste Test Tuesday Episode 19. Today we’re at Frith Street in Soho for some more ramen tasting at Koya 🍜
They’ve been operating for 12 years and specialise in freshly made Japanese udon noodles and dashi 🇯🇵
They have 3 sites:
📍Koya Soho – 50 Frith Street, London W1D 4SQ
📍Koya City – 10-12 Bloomberg Arcade, London EC4N 8AR
📍Koya Ko Hackney – 10-12 Broadway Market Mews, London E8 4TS
The restaurant on Frith Street is their original site and really small with seating for about 20 people. You’ll often find people queueing outside to get in 🚶♀️🚶🚶♂️🚶♀️🚶🚶♂️
Even though its not on the menu anymore, they were very kind and allowed us to order the Beef Cold Udon with Hot Broth 🙏 We also ordered the Prawn Tempura Hot Udon in Hot Broth 🤤
It was really nice food, but not as good as we remember. We may have just caught them on a bad day. On a good day we would have scored them 9/10 but today we give them a 7.5/10. It was still good though and we would really recommend you go and try it out for yourself.
We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed the tasting, filming and making of this video. Please like, comment and subscribe to our channel to see more! Also please let us know if you have any recommendations for us to try next week.
In this series, we will be eating a variety of international cuisines that London has to offer. Trying their food and giving our honest opinions!
