Welcome to Taste Test Tuesdays episode 8! In this episode we visit award-winning Japanese restaurant Kanada-Ya Ramen Bar on Foubert’s Place off Carnaby Street, Soho, W1.

Originating from Japan, the first Kanada-Ya opened in London in September 2014 and they now have 4 restaurants in London, as well as restaurants in Japan, Hong Kong and Spain!

The London restaurants are located at:

📍Carnaby – 28 Foubert’s Place, Soho, London W1F 7PR
📍Angel – 35 Upper Street, London N1 0PN
📍Piccadilly – 3 Panton Street, London SW1Y 4DL
📍Covent Garden – 64 St Giles High Street, London WC2H 8DA – the original site

The owner Kanada Kazuhiro spent years perfecting the perfect Ramen recipe. His final Tonkotsu Ramen signature recipe consists of 18 hour simmered pork bone broth, Chashli pork, nori seaweed, a secret sauce, hand pulled noodles, wood ear fungus and spring onion. All which makes for a smooth, rich, creamy and delicious Tonkotsu broth. Whilst extremely time-consuming, the process and taste really sets it apart from its competitors. 🍜🥢

In this series, we will be eating a variety of international cuisines that London has to offer. Trying their food and giving our honest opinions!

We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed the tasting, filming and making of this video. Please like, comment and subscribe to our channel to see more!
