Walkaround Waterloo and Southwark stations
The SE1 postcode covers a vast area between Vauxhall to the West, Bermondsey to the East, Elephant and Castle to the South and the River Thames to the North. It is made up of smaller neighbourhoods such as Waterloo, Southwark, Borough and London Bridge. As it sits south of the River Thames it is also known as South London.
In this 30-minute walking tour we take you around the areas around Waterloo and Southwark stations. Southwark is not to be confused with the London Borough of Southwark which is a much larger area going South all the way down to Crystal Palace.
We start our tour on a road called The Cut, just east of Waterloo station. Waterloo Station, or London Waterloo as it is also known, has an impressive 26 platforms, which includes 2 underground platforms.
