ITV has unveiled an art installation aimed to get people talking in the hope to raise awareness of male suicide. 84 sculptures of life-size men standing on the roof of the ITV building can currently be found at the Southbank studio’s location.

Created by Calm, and named ‘Project 84’, the statues represent the 84 men who die through suicide every week in the UK, making suicide the biggest killer of men under the age of 45.

Eerily realistic, Simon Gunning, chief executive of Calm commented; ‘Project 84 is all about making the scale of the situation very clear to everyone who sees the sculptures, and we hope that, by working with the families and friends of real men who have taken their lives, we can face the enormous issue of suicide together and strive for change.’
